What a Full Wedding Day with Me Looks Like – From Morning Prep to Party Time
Morning Prep: The Start of the Story

I usually arrive during the morning preparations, where the atmosphere is full of excitement, laughter, and those quiet emotional moments that set the tone for the whole day.
My approach is documentary and very fly-on-the-wall.
I’m not there to direct the morning, I’m simply observing, watching for real interactions, and capturing the story as it unfolds. I’ll photograph the details, the dress, the flowers, the makeup moments, and all those little glances and bursts of laughter that happen naturally.
I chat with everyone, I make conversation, and I always bring a warm, calm presence.
I never want to feel like “a supplier” in the room, I want to feel like someone who’s simply part of the morning with you. When people feel comfortable, the photos become effortlessly natural.

The Ceremony: Emotion, Connection, and Real Moments
During the ceremony, my documentary style truly shines.
I stay discreet and respectful, moving quietly and capturing the emotions that matter most, such as the nervous glances, the tears, the hands squeezing, the smiles, the reactions from your friends and family.
I’m always looking for the moment before the moment.
A parent wiping a tear.
A best friend beaming with pride.
A quiet breath before you say “I do.”
These are the photos that tell your story in its truest form. For most of my ceremonies I like to start off at the top of the aisle whilst the guests and the groom wait for the brides entrance, this is a perfect opportunity to capture your guests sat in their seats waiting and to capture the groom, whether he’s nervously waiting or beaming with excitement!

Couples Portraits: Relaxed, Natural, and Tailored to Your Vibe
Once the ceremony is done and you’ve had a few minutes to breathe after group photos, we’ll slip away for your couples portraits.
Even though most of my day is documentary, this is the part where I gently guide you, but still keep everything feeling natural.
I don’t believe in stiff posing – instead, I rely on prompts and movement:
- “Pull each other in like you’re keeping warm.”
- “Walk together slowly and talk about your first date.”
- “Do a little twirl like you’re dancing together.”
I also read your vibe as a couple.
If you’re very affectionate and playful, we’ll lean into that.
If you’re calm, quiet, and romantic, we’ll keep things soft and intimate.
It’s never awkward – it’s fun, relaxed, and still true to who you are. I also don’t know how to stop chatting during this time, I probably speak to you the most during this part of the day, it’s a great chance for us to become really familiar with each other.

Group Photos: Simple, Efficient, and Stress-Free
Most couples want a handful of family photos, and I completely understand how important these images are.
I gently guide and pose these groups to make sure everyone looks great, but I keep things quick and calm so you’re not standing around for ages. I generally advise an absolute maximum of 12 group photos, this means we can get through them really quickly and move on with your day.
I’ll help organise people, gather groups, and make it as smooth as possible all while keeping that warm, friendly energy.

Reception: Fly-on-the-Wall Documentary at Its Best
The reception is where your personalities shine, and my fly-on-the-wall approach becomes even more important.
I blend into the room, chatting with your guests, joining conversations, and staying engaged so that I feel like part of the celebration rather than a stranger with a camera. When people feel comfortable around me, they forget they’re being photographed and that’s when the best moments happen.
One thing I always do at receptions is go around each table and ask if guests would like a photo together.
This ensures every guest is photographed and included in your album – something couples always appreciate.
From laughter during speeches to kids running around, to guests dancing before the dance floor has even opened, I’m everywhere the moments are.

Party Time: Energy, Dancing, and Candid Magic
When the evening arrives, the atmosphere shifts into full celebration mode – and so do I.
Yes, I absolutely will get on the dance floor with you.
I photograph the chaos, the fun, the arms in the air, the happy tears, the hugs, the failed dance moves (and the surprisingly good ones!).
Even though I stay cool, calm, and collected throughout the day, I’m not afraid to join in during the party. When I’m dancing alongside everyone else, the energy of the evening translates perfectly into the photos.
My Overall Approach: Calm, Friendly, and Fully Present

Emotionally, I’m a very relaxed and laid-back photographer.
My goal is to make you feel the same way; calm, comfortable, and free to enjoy your day without ever feeling posed or pressured.
I’m there to support you, chat with your guests, laugh with your bridal party, wipe a tear during your vows (yes, I get emotional too!), and capture every meaningful moment with care and intention.
By the end of the night, I want you to feel like you had a friend with you and not a supplier.
