Lani and Kameron’s Wedding at Lea Marston Hotel
Lani and Kameron’s wedding at Lea Marston Hotel on May 9th was the perfect mix of emotional moments, relaxed portraits, and a genuinely fun atmosphere from beginning to end. With beautiful weather, a gorgeous vintage wedding car, and a packed dance floor later in the evening, their day was such a joy to photograph.
As a West Midlands wedding photographer, weddings like this are exactly why I love documentary wedding photography so much. Nothing felt overly staged or forced throughout the day, which meant the gallery reflected the real atmosphere and emotions as they naturally unfolded.
Bridal Preparations at Lea Marston Hotel
The morning started with Lani getting ready alongside her bridal party at Lea Marston Hotel. The atmosphere was calm and excited all at once, with those lovely little moments happening constantly throughout the morning; final makeup touches, emotional smiles, helping hands with the dress, and everyone soaking in the reality that the wedding day had finally arrived.
One of my favourite moments from the morning was capturing Lani making her way downstairs with her veil trailing behind her while her bridesmaids helped guide the dress. It created such an elegant and cinematic moment without needing any direction at all.
The bridal details throughout the morning were beautifully understated, with soft neutral tones and classic styling that suited the venue perfectly.
A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony at Sacred Heart Church
The ceremony itself was full of emotion from the second Lani entered the church. Kameron’s reaction waiting at the front was such a genuine moment, and throughout the ceremony there were so many natural expressions and reactions between the couple and their guests that made the whole room feel incredibly personal and intimate.
I always aim to photograph ceremonies in a documentary style, quietly capturing the real moments as they happen rather than interrupting or over directing the day. Lani and Kameron’s ceremony was a perfect example of why that approach works so well, because every image feels authentic to the atmosphere they actually experienced.

Relaxed Couple Portraits Around the Grounds
After the ceremony, we spent some time exploring the grounds at Lea Marston Hotel for portraits. The venue offers such a lovely variety of locations for wedding photography, from greenery and water features to little bridges and open spaces that work beautifully for natural portraits.
Their vintage white wedding car also added such a timeless feel to the gallery and worked perfectly alongside the soft colour palette of the day.
One thing I really loved about photographing Lani and Kameron together was how comfortable they were with each other. They didn’t need loads of posing or constant direction, which allowed me to focus on capturing natural interactions and genuine expressions while still creating polished, elegant portraits.

A Fun Wedding Reception and Dance Floor
As the evening celebrations began, the atmosphere completely shifted into party mode in the best way possible. The dance floor was packed, guests fully embraced the fun of the evening, and there were so many brilliant candid moments throughout the reception.
From guests wearing novelty sunglasses to the energetic dancing later in the night, the evening had such a lively and joyful atmosphere that made for some really memorable documentary photographs.
Those kinds of moments are always some of my favourites to capture because they tell the full story of the day beyond just the formal parts of the wedding.

Wedding Photography at Lea Marston Hotel
Lani and Kameron’s wedding was such a lovely reminder that the best wedding photographs often come from simply allowing the day to unfold naturally. Between the emotional ceremony, relaxed portraits, and fun evening reception, their gallery felt full of personality from beginning to end.
Lani and Kameron, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was such a pleasure to be part of it all, and I wish you both the happiest future together as Mr and Mrs.
